Chicago Harmony Sweeps Competition Update!

The Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is the premier American showcase for vocal harmony music. The annual national competition draws from hundreds of vocal groups from around the country with regional competitions in eight cities. 

The Peppermint Patties were delighted to place 3rd in this year's competition and to congratulate our talented fellow winners! The competition was hosted by Emcee David Wilner at Wenz Concert Hall & Fine Arts Center in Naperville, IL.

Meet The Patties

Founded in 2018, The Patties met at DePaul University in Chicago while pursuing degrees in vocal performance. All three have professional training in opera but always enjoyed musical theater, jazz, and acapella music. Their unique performance style mixes genres, musical styles, and even a little dash of comedy!

Anna Caldwell

Anna Caldwell (b. 1986; she/her) is a Chicago-based soprano, writer, and senior marketing associate whose stage credits span more than 30 roles in opera, operetta, and musical theater across the Midwest. Recent roles include The Narrator in Joseph...Dreamcoat and Kate in Kiss Me, Kate at The People’s Bank Theater in Ohio. This fall, she returns to The Savoyaires as Yum-Yum in their reimagining of The Mikado.​

Daina Fischer

Daina Fischer is a Lithuanian-American dramatic soprano based in Chicago, specializing in opera, musical theater, jazz, and a cappella. She has performed across the Midwest and internationally. In addition to her performing career, Daina is an accomplished voice teacher and pedagogue with over twelve years of teaching voice. She currently serves as a voice teacher and music director at Ovation Theater Academy in Oak Park, IL.

Laura Emery

Laura Emery is an actor and singer based in Kansas City, where she performs with the GRAMMY® Award winning Kansas City Chorale. She has performed with Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Music Theater Works, Forte Chicago, Chicago Fringe Opera, Grant Park Music Festival, and more. Laura has also worked with various arts organizations and previously served as the Executive Director of Chicago Fringe Opera. She holds a Bachelor of music in Vocal Performance from DePaul School of Music.

Nikki Krzebiot

Nikki Krzebiot is an actor, singer, and cabaret performer based in Chicago. Known for her original shows, Nikki has self-produced four cabarets and regularly performs with Acts of Kindness Cabaret. She joined the Patties in 2023.
